    The Mountain Between Us

Kate Winslet never disappoints. So versatile, she can play any role that's thrown at her. TERRIFIC movie only because of her --- don't miss this one. Was so afraid something was going to happen to that dear dog all through the film or they were going to wind up eating it or something. Should have scripted someone into it that she'd have been more "likely" to fall in love with. Also - Fiance needed to be someone with some sex appeal. I saw no reason to go through with marrying this man. Well acted movie on Kate's part but definitely needed different co-stars.

A relatively cheesy popcorn flick but you kind of know that going on. Not every film needs to be citizen kane and sometimes you just want to have fun.

  • The Snowman

“The Snowman” is a murder mystery, based on the novel by Norwegian author Jo Nesbø. Something was definitely lost in translation, not between Norwegian and English but between the original novel, the script, the filming and the cutting room floor. The story was so convoluted it was mindboggling. One had the feeling that many of the subplots were partially dropped along the way leading to pointless story lines, with too many characters. Perhaps readers of the novel would have more of an appreciation. I had no idea what was going on. I had trouble differentiating between the similar characters and their relationships to one another, up until the end of the film. Spoiler: This film was not thought provoking, deep or interesting. The cinematography of the snowy stark landscapes of Norway was a plus. I can’t comment on the acting since the script was so bad, most of the actors didn’t had a chance to shine.

    Blade Runner 2049

A wonderful, thought-provoking film, with stunning visuals. The sound was deafening at times to the point that it hurt. Not a mivie for the dull and dim-witted. A definite classic!

The plot of the movie was made for adults. Not for children. This movie had an interesting plot and complex ideas.

We saw the movie on a regular screen. All the tickets were sold out for the 3D. Still seeing the movie on 2D did not take away the enchanting experiences from this movie.
